Exhibition wall
The Sorrell Foundation was set up in 1999 with the aim of inspiring creativity
in young people and improving the quality of life through good design.
The Foundation creates and prototypes new ideas and develops models
that can be widely used.

The six stage process
We worked closely with them to develop a key part of their ‘What’s Next
for Schools' exhibition at Somerset House. The Foundation hosts schools
from all across the UK and aims to introduce the school children to the
creative process. The requirement of this project was to clearly communicate
the six stage process that pupils are taken through at the Foundation’s
‘Young Design Centre’. The outcome also needs to be easily updated
on a regular basis.

Panels
Our solution utilised the existing shelves in the space to create a photographic
journey through the process. Imagery documenting the pupils at various stages
was collated and produced as panels which are placed onto the shelves.

A numbered panel is placed at the beginning of each row of images with
a summary explanation of that particular stage. Placed along each row
and mounted onto the front of the shelves are a series of collected quotes
and thoughts from previous participants.
